So to say the Canadian women's basketball executed its offence "extremely well" (head coach Allison McNeil) or "very well" (guard Alisha Tatham) against France on Tuesday is not telling the whole story. Isn't the end result of successfully executing a basketball offence the actual ford navigator cruise control repair dropping of the ball through the hoop?
"We missed some wide open shots," McNeil, whose team started 0-for-7 from the field while France was on a 16-3 run, said from Turkey. "It was very frustrating. We kept thinking if we could just get (the deficit) to six, just get it to four, but we couldn't get over the hump."
"Everybody was frustrated, but I didn't think we showed it," said McNeil of the hard effort she got from her squad. "We executed extremely well . . . and we'll take that positive into the quarter-finals." Canada, 1-1, will advance ford navigator cruise control repair to the quarter-finals on Friday unless Mali, whom the Canadians thumped 89-26 in their opener on Monday, pulls off a miracle upset of the French today. They'll ford navigator cruise control repair face the winner of Wednesday's game between Croatia and Korea.
"We know whoever it is, is going to be tough," said McNeil of the Canada's next game. "When we beat Croatia (66-49 in an exhibition tournament in France earlier this month), they were missing a top point guard, so it'll be a different game if we play them.
Canada's top scorers were Tamara Tatham of Brampton, Ont., and Shona Thorburn of Hamilton, each with seven points. Centre Krista Phillips of Saskatoon ford navigator cruise control repair was the only player ford navigator cruise control repair to make more than two baskets — she had three for six points — as starting forwards Kim Smith of Mission, B.C., (2-of-10 from the field) and Miranda Ayim of London, Ont., (1-of-8) both struggled.
"We couldn't knock down the open shots that we needed," said Alicia Tatham, who was 1-for-5. "I don't think it was nerves. Not every game you're going to get a high percentage shooting game. It just so happens that it happened today. For sure we're not going to let that happen again.
