Whenever I visit a new city, at home or abroad, I like to find a bus tour which, depending the time I have available, allows me to get a quick overview of the city or if I have more time available allows for a more in depth look at the place.
If you want to see London for under a fiver there is a self guided tour using London's public bus system.
