My mom and I stayed at the cottage for a long weekend and didn't want to leave! Everything we needed was there and the view to the water was breathtaking. The cottage was cozy and warm...even during the ice storm! The property is in excellent condition; we truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to others.
What a wonderful family vacation we had at this camp. It literally was home away from home. We only had to bring our clothes and food, everything else was there. We have 3 small children and there was lots of space outdoors to run and play. The view, the water, just the tranquility of it all was amazing. Our stay at the River Camp last summer was outstanding. We enjoyed the rustic setting, the peace and tranquility, plus all the comforts of home. What I enjoyed best was sitting on the deck on early mornings and drinking my coffee. Seeing and listening to the sounds of the river and the birds, and watching to see if the deers would come to the river for their morning drink. There were many animal tracks, the anticipation was fun.

The condo was perfect, very spacious, quiet. The washer and dryer were a nice perk after doing the Sugarloaf Marathon and the owner was awesome to deal with. At the post race pot-luck our friends were very impressed with our digs!
This beautiful 3 BR home provided ample space for our family. The full sized washer/dryer were convenient to keep our ski clothes clean and ready for the next day. A large breakfast bar and separate dining room made staying in for meals a pleasure. I highly recommend this vacation home.
I rented the condo w/the additional suite for the Reggaefest. We had a great time, the house was great, plenty of sleeping rooms and bathrooms, with a nice deck and a great view. The fully stocked kitchen was perfect for cooking in which was great with a lot of people. The suite is reccommened maps of the united kingdom if you have a bigger party because you don't have to worry about too much noise above, and it also serves as a great place for people to go if they want to crash early. I would def. recomend this property.
I was not happy about being asked to strip all the 9 beds we used and cleaning up and gathering towels and empting trash containers when we left. I thought that should have been part of the condo rental.

What a gem! We spent a perfectly relaxing week at this quiet camp up a private drive. The camp was simple, but very tidy and adequately outfitted airline tickets to china with everything we needed. The screened porch and fire ring were highlights, as were the private sand beach, dock, and raft a stone's airline tickets to china throw away. Our hosts were curtious and avaiable, but very respectful of our privacy. The lake was shallower than we expected, but the swimming was still excellent and loos, eagles, and osprey were abundant. The only thing lacking in our view was a couch or easy chairs for lounging and reading, but otherwise no complaints, and we would definitely like to return.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at Hinkley Cove. Despite the close quarters for 5 adults and an 8 month old, we made the best of it and had a fabulous vacation. The Hinkley's are lovely people and made our arrival warm and inviting. The cabin was spotless and well equipped. There were even tootsie rolls on our pillows and fresh flowers on the table. I would recommend Hinkley Cove to anyone looking to get away and enjoy and cozy, quiet and relaxing vacation in Maine .
When we first arrived we were promptly greeted by Mary (the owner) and given a tour of the cabin. The cabin was very clean and organized. It is a very secluded spot on the cove which made it very peaceful and relaxing. The sunrise was wonderful in the morning. Unfortunately, for us, it rained every day and night so we could not fully appreciate what the grounds had to offer such as the campfire,gas grill, and eating outside at the picnic table. We went with a teenager and two little boys and they all had a wonderful experience. We would certainly recommend this spot for someone looking for a little R & R away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

When we arrived, there were fresh flowers on the dining table in the screen porch, tootsie roll pops on our pillows, and the cabin was spotless and well-equipt. One day we took the canoe for a paddle and saw an osprey dive down and scoop up a fish, watched a mother otter and baby meander along the bank (we had gone to look at a wild purple azalea that was mirrored in the still water), and spotted one of the loons who had serenaded airline tickets to china us with its hauntingly beautiful song the night before. We have just returned from a fabulous vacation in Cushing ME at this lovely cabin. It is situated on the ocean with a spectacular view of the island and inlets around dotted with lobster pots. It was so peaceful and charming. The house is comfortable with large living and dining areas both facing the ocean. Susan was a terrific host and very knowledgeable about the area, she took us out on her boat which the kids loved and encouraged us to pick vegetables and rhubarb from the garden. There were indoor and outdoor games provided and we took advantage of the Kayaks too. It was a wonderful week and we hope to return again next year and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a true Maine experience.

We recently stayed at the above mentioned rental unit at the Village by the Sea in Wells , Maine . We had great accomodations. We just got back from a week's stay at the Chula Vista. After the summer we'd been having we weren't sure if the weather would cooperate. Luckily it did, but even if it hadn't we still would have had a great time. The house was airy and bright;location was close to everything, including the beach,yet secluded enough to provide privacy. Our first visit in Wells couldn't have been better. Chula Vista gave us a home away from home with its wrap around porch and a view of the sea on a quiet street that was relaxing and enjoyable. Only a step away from local stores, the sandy beach and not to mention the marsh and its wildlife close by. It allowed us to travel and see different places and sites with in hours of driving. We absolutely loved staying in this cottage and will likely do so again. We were so impressed with the location and the rustic comfort of the cottage, the pics online don't do it justice. Round Pond center is a 3 min drive and Damarscotta a 15 min drive. The cottage came with plenty of cooking essentials, board games and wood to make a fire. Plus plenty of scenery to look out at from the back deck. If you want to feel off the grid this is your place.
The owners of the property were fantastic and helpful with many day trip ideas of things to see and places to eat -- including a complete binder on the history of the house, area and things to do. Drinking in the view of the harbor from the front of the house was fantastic. Our family had a wonderful time and it was very hard to depart for home. I would not hesitate to recommend this property as all of the extras truly made it feel like home! Recommend buying the lobster from the dock next door and eating while enjoying the gorgeous view!
I have to say the cottage that I saw in the pictures on the web site didn't do the cottage justice. The cottage is adorable.We found everything that we needed to stay comfortably for the week.Our last day in the cottage proved to be a bit warm but we still enjoyed our stay!!! We took our two small dogs up for a week in Maine and were delighted with the home, the view, the village. Friendly atmosphere at King Ro Mkt. (invited to their open mic session), Dot's Bakery (great blueberry pie and raspberry turnovers), the Anchor Inn, and lobster from the small shop on the pier. Everything was provided at the comfortable home. I've vacationed in Maine since 1956 on Lake Damariscotta, so this was my first time on the coast. I loved it. And all the work was done for us! The Salt Bay Cafe in Damariscotta has great chowder and the Miles Thrift Shop is fun. Round Pond is a small picturesque village with many old houses and fascinating architecture. Good food in the area and friendly people. The rest of the area was fun to explore with the Pemaquid lighthouse, working harbors, old fort and settlement and cozy town of Damariscotta not far away with not one, but two independent coffee shops.

My family booked this house for 9 days. We arrived to a dirty unkept house. Carpets were stained badly in all rooms! The kitchen had mouse droppings and the fridge had old food rotting. The bathrooms had stains in the sinks, hair on the floors and counters and the toilets had not been cleaned for some time. One of the bedrooms was swarmed with both live and dead flies (in November). WE MADE THE REPAIRS. REGARDING THE CARPETS...THEY DO HAVE STAINS ON THEM FROM PAST RENTER ABUSE, BUT THEY ARE CLEAN AND SHAMPOOED REGULARLY. We stayed at Dragonfly Hill Cottage for 4 nights. I would have to stop to count the number of fish the four of us caught. The biggest was a 6# large mouth bass that took a dive into the deep pulling up with it a mushroom of mud and weeds but well hooked. What a thrill for the 3 of us who witnessed this catch. (We release, so it is still there unless caught again)...many bass large and small mouth, pickerel, yellow perch....and a sunfish that was spared very cheap airline tickets being hooked.

My husband and I just returned from a 5 day stay at Dragonfly Hill, and the cottage was absolutely wonderful! So many details were attended to from the books, games, toothbrush supply, and videos. I was a little nervous about booking on line, wondering if the cottage would match up to the photos on the website.
