In the case of Kelly Haro, 41, the life-altering circumstance is Grade 4 brain cancer known as glioblastoma , or GBM. He was diagnosed in May after being hospitalized for constant headaches. His doctors say that with treatment, he has 18 months to live. His illness is one of the most deadly forms of cancer, Veronica Haro said.
Wish Upon a Wedding stepped in to make the couple's dream come true. Their wedding is just the fourth that the group's Orange County/Los Angeles chapter has organized. Everything from the planning to the entertainment to the reception was donated to Wish Upon a Wedding or was paid for by the organization.

"Kelly is being very positive and believes he will beat this battle," Veronica said. "I have been there to support him in every way possible and will continue to do so. His motto is, 'I am the last to get it and I will be the first to beat it.'"
Planning and paying for a wedding would have been tough, the couple said. They have had to spend a lot of money on Kelly's treatment and have had to stop working to devote their time to it. Kelly is collecting disability and Veronica is collecting unemployment.
