Maurice explains: I've grown up with Street Art all my life, from my early teens when I ran with a small local crew in my home town. However, my big problem was I couldn t paint, but I was always invited along. School was just a blur. At 17 I escaped to London, doing menial jobs during the day so I could spend my evenings watching the artists; I didn't manhattan new york hotels need drugs or alcohol, street art was my buzz.
It wasn't long before I was getting invites manhattan new york hotels onto some big gigs but because I couldn't paint, I never really felt like I had a role. I was always there, in the middle but not really involved. But when you get to see some of the legends manhattan new york hotels I've seen honing their craft, it's a privilege.
After a few years, I lost my mojo. I didn't really see how I fitted into this world and although deep down I knew I could never let it go completely, gradually I checked out and drifted away from the scene.
She became an addiction, one bigger than I've ever experienced before, and I was possessed. I got in touch with some of my old contacts and ran the idea of painting her by them. Some were happy to help, others had retired and some new fresh names were thrown into the pot.
It took me ages to finally track down the owners and persuade them I wasn't a crank, manhattan new york hotels but when I had the chance to run through the plans properly, John Rowley was very supportive. I quickly built a support network, bringing together people with a wealth of experience in PR, web design, marketing, logistics and reproduction but most importantly I had the artists in the bag, in fact I was chasing some away.
Together we supplied Mr Rowley with a long term business plan, and his words "I'm willing to give you youngsters a chance" He researched the proposal independently and quickly realised how important Street Art is to many young people, giving them the means to express themselves in such a depressed era. The whole of Europe is struggling and non more so than people like me. People who can make a difference, but just need a chance.
