DH and I will be there in a few weeks. We're first time parents and clueless! We're bringing our very hyperactive 9 month old. Maybe he can't be classified at hyperactive at such a young age, but he is definitely into everything he can find.
What do we do with him in a hotel room? We'll bring the playpen but I hate for him to be confined since he's used to being able to go everywhere. I also don't want him crawling around on the nasty hotel floor. If we get a crib will we need the playpen? What about sleep? He goes to sleep at 8. We usually stay up until 11. Will we have to go to sleep when he does? He's used to sleeping in a closed room. (You might not be able to answer that one but it's worth a shot.)
Or another suggestion, travel channel online do you have a regular babysitter who might could travel with you and help you with the baby? That way you can pay them to keep the baby while you go to a show etc. A teen girl who might be close to you etc...
I would also suggest a condo..you get get a one bedroom, and could put him to bed in the bedroom while you and your hubby can stay up later in the living room area. There are almost too many condo complexes to name here, but our favorites are Grand Crowne Resorts..and two Wyndham resorts.. Mountain Vista and The Meadows.
As one who brings grandkids to Branson quite often, I really think you would have a much better time if you had a place to let him get around, and go to sleep on schedule. Also..there is a place in Springfield, (I think), that rents full size cribs, highchairs..anything you need for a baby on a trip. We used them in June, and their services were awesome! They deliver and set up the cribs for you at whatever hotel or condo that you choose. Nice service!
Well, I must admit I am from the kids are adaptable school of thought. Growing up I did things that people would be horrified about today, and I survived ( I even rode bikes WITHOUT A HELMET!!! ). Both my kids did too and are adults doing very well today.
Other than dirty hands and knees which could be cleaned up with a bit of soap and water, I truly doubt your child would suffer any harm from crawling on even the dirtiest of carpets. As for bedtime, travel channel online I've never know a kid who didn't fall asleep when he/she was tired... no matter WHERE they were!
You're on vacation! Relax and live a little for once. So your child's travel channel online schedule might be thrown off a little for the week you are here. So what? It will rapidly return to normal once you are home. The secret to life is making travel channel online it seem easy!

MN...I travel channel online think maybe it's been awhile since you were stuck with a baby in a hotel room..lol. As a grandma who travels with 5 little ones, I've learned that the secret to making life seem easy when you have a baby on board is to make it easy for the kids..then it will be easy for you. A baby who is out of their own element will sometimes NOT fall asleep, no matter how tired, and that is something I had to learn the hard way..
Yes, we're locked in. At $30/night I couldn't resist. We flew with him a few months ago and he did very well. I tried to get him to nap but there was too much going on. He was afraid he'd miss something if he wasn't standing up on my lap looking around.

Maybe you could check and see if Plantation has any connecting rooms, you could put him in a crib in one, and leave the door open to your room. Maybe that would give him the sense that he's in his room at home?? Know that may be kind of a scary thought, but with the other door locked from the inside, it would be safe.
Is he walking if you hold his hands? He needs lots of time to get exercise and crawl around. I'd take a blanket to put on the floor and try to keep him on it with his toys. Lots of pool time as well. I'd expect some meltdowns as most babies have them when their schedules travel channel online get out of whack and/or they get overstimluated by too much to see and do. If you just realize he'll have them, it will help everyone.
Traveled with our grandson when he was just a little older than 9 months. We carried our pack and play and used that for his sleeping--didn't get a motel crib. I took a couple of those Kindergarten rest mats that you can get at Wal Mart and placed it behind the pack and play and pushed travel channel online it up in the little area that the clothes usually hang in. The mats were for padding against the wall in case of rolling around. We also took a small folding screen that we had to put up while we stayed up a bit later. Turned out the lights but kept the TV on low and twisted it around so that we could watch and it not be just glaring on his side. I also carried a small desk lamp that I turned on for me to read after he had gone to sleep. I think the screen was the life saver for us. Pretty much blocked the light from his area. Don't have any tips for crawling around on the floor. We were at Branson's Best and it is pretty clean. We just let him go. He wasn't one to put things in his mouth and didn't put his fingers in his mouth either. Lucky on that one for us.
