Yes it is worth the money. For example, The Grand Jubilee show at the Grand Country theatre is buy one get one free. Right there you have more than got your money back. It has an expiration datre on it but until then you just keep on using and saving. It sure beats cutting coupons out of books and trying to keep up with them. Mine expires on 3-31-13.
We've purchased do rental car companies pay people to transport cars the card for several years and it is a very good deal! One thing we like is that you can use the card over and over at your 'favorites'. For example, we often eat at Billy Bobs and get a 15% discount each time. Same thing at Fuddruckers and Hard Luck Diner and Lone Star (just a few of the places where we use it multiple times during the year) The $19.95 isn't a 'special deal', even though it is advertised as such ----- that's what we have paid each time we've purchased the card. I believe the expiration date each year is 3/11. We always purchase our card at the Chamber of Commerce Tourist Center (across from the filling station at the Jct of 65 and 248) On the south side of 248, down the hill, hard to find the first time.
Possibly. Two years ago I would have said absolutely. Last year we just about broke even over 10 days. There are planty of discounts, but we found some discounts were better through other avenues on stuuf we attended or ate last year. Many of the show discounts were not as good as in prior years. Some were the same though. Sometimes a restaurant discount was good for lunch but not breakfast, or some such thing. Anyway, we'll consider it again this year, but depending on what you do your schedule, it may not be a slam dunk. You can certainly save money though.
Another consideration is that if you like locking in seats ahead of time, a small number of theatres will not lock in seats with certain types of discounts until just before the show, so you can be a bit less precise with seating. This has not been a factor with the majority of our arrangements, but twice in three years I could achieve my seating early by having the card where I would have had to wait otherwise.
BTW, the only other issue you might consider is that the books come out early in the year and there may be shows or restaurants that pop up later which may not be represented, as well as some which have discounts but are no longer in business. Few discount pathways are able to achieve regular updates. It pays to study up!
I saw a sign posted inside Clay Coopers about the Guest Card making me wonder if they sell them, but I don't know. We were lucky enough to win one at a resort event, but we've decided we'll buy one every year we plan to go to Branson, and I wholeheartedly agree that it beats coupon clipping.
