Coming as far as China and Russia, the honors for each brand included The Chairman's Award which is given to the hotel with the highest princess cruise line employment overall satisfaction princess cruise line employment scores, General Manager of the Year, Opening Hotel of the Year, Hotel of the Year and Opening General Manager of the Year.
Prior to the award ceremony, the winners were treated to a sightseeing tour of Washington, D.C. that included attractions such as the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and Marriott headquarters. The evening ceremony was hosted at the Key Bridge Marriott and awards were presented by Arne Sorenson, president and chief executive officer, princess cruise line employment Marriott International.  Also in attendance to applaud the general managers were leaders of the Americas, brands and operations.
