This won’t be a “vacation” for him by any means. He won’t be making much – just enough to cover insu

Saturday, the Norfolk Admirals saw their eight in a half month streak come to an end a 32 game winning streak that dated back to Feb. 10th. The last blemish on the Admirals record was a loss from last season, on Feb. 5th, against the Springfield Falcons. It was the St. John Ice [...]
After a miserable second half collapse that saw the New York Mets finish with only 74 wins, it is clear that the first position Sandy Alderson needs to address this offseason is the outfield.  The Mets outfielders as a whole in 2012 were absolutely pathetic at the plate, save for Scott Hairston s 20HRs.  If they are [...]
Immediately after the trade between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets, which dealt Sixth Man of the Year James Harden to Houston, Thunder players reacted on twitter. Kevin Durant and Eric Maynor each posted on simple word: "wow." Wow — Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5)October 28, 2012 Wow — Eric Maynor (@EMaynor3) car rental in canada October 28, 2012 Wow. [...]
This afternoon, Sunday, car rental in canada October 28, the James Madison Dukes welcomed the Philadelphia University Rams to the Convocation Center for an exhibition matchup. As the Dukes came away with an impressive 77-69 victory, head coach Matt Brady's club showed many positive and a few negatives car rental in canada signs for the upcoming car rental in canada season. After losing high-scoring guard, Humpty Hitchens, [...]

When you hear the name AFC Ajax, all the images it conjures up are from the past. The greats of the 70's, 80's and 90's, but not much beyond that.  When you hear the name Manchester City, the first thought that probably comes to you is of a nouveau-riche overspending side, buying its way to [...]
"In Switzerland, public consumption of alcohol is legal," Rosenbloom said in a short video on Wednesday. And Patrick Kane is all about public consumption of alcohol." He went on to say that in Switzerland, Kane would be "without parents [and] without [Chicago] Blackhawks daycare centers" and said he would be "all alone on a European vacation."
Rosenbloom s words really irritated me. I'm a Blackhawks fan and a Kane fan in particular. car rental in canada While it's embarrassing to know that he's had past trouble with the law and is known to drink, I don't let it color my perception of him beyond the fact the he is, in fact, a human being and 23 years old. Human beings do things that are stupid and/or embarrassing. Find me someone who hasn't done anything remotely one or the other. I'm sure Rosenbloom has his bias, but he's wrong to stereotype Kane based on past behavior.
Rosenbloom mentioned the incident in Madison, Wisconsin this past May, in which Kane was drinking during the Mifflin Street car rental in canada Block Party. I felt secondhand embarrassment for him, and God knows after seeing all those pictures and the Deadspin coverage they brought, the talking-to he got from Blackhawks brass, and of course his parents' reaction, I'm sure he felt like crawling into a hole for a while.
I think that was a wake-up call for Kane. It wasn't as bad as the cab driver incident car rental in canada in 2009, which almost resulted in jail time, but it could've been if all the stories car rental in canada Deadspin posted were actually true (someone followed up and found that the worst ones were either fabrications or just blown out of proportion). I watched Kane's pre-Convention press conference in July, and he was remorseful, pledging to straighten up his act because it not only reflects on him, but the Blackhawks organization, car rental in canada his family and his fans. I think it really hurt him to see how his actions hurt those around him.
This won't be a "vacation" for him by any means. He won't be making much – just enough to cover insurance plus a bit extra. He's playing for a team in a city that's officially bilingual in German and French, and to my knowledge he speaks neither. He could be injured while he's there (it's happened to other players already). He's going there to keep sharp on his game, to work out the problems he had last season and fix them. His bottom line is to play the sport he loves.
