A self-proclaimed shy guy from Seattle has emerged as a stealth frontrunner in this season of NBC's The Voice . Forty-year-old Mycle Wastman golden palm casino hotel didn't just survive the blind auditions with a cover of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together"—he made Cee Lo Green do a little shimmy in his chair. (Watch the video below.)
Who indeed? We know Seattle has a wealth of very talented, somewhat pasty soul brothers, golden palm casino hotel from Eastern Washington native Allen Stone to Pickwick front man Galen Disston , but Mycle (with a "y") has flown under the radar. Knowing what this show did for Tacoma native Vicci Martinez , that's about to change.
What I could gather from Wastman's online bio is that he was an Army private a little over 20 years ago, who later served in the Army Reserves as a chaplain's assistant at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis. ( Nice profile here by the  Joint Base Lewis-McChord newspaper .) He then worked construction jobs in Seattle, but by the time he turned 30, he decided to return to his first love. He's released two albums, writes his own music, golden palm casino hotel and plays guitar, bass and drums. Cee Lo may be on to something.
Despite being heavily courted by Cee Lo, Adam Levine (of Maroon 5), and fellow judge/country star Blake Shelton, Wastman picked Green as his coach (as Martinez did last year). He now enters a knockout week, when coaches trim their teams in half before going to live shows, so don't miss the battle on Monday's and Tuesday's episodes.
